Does ups work on the weekends?

I ordered a package on june 30th (thursday) and the status says it shipped but still in progress, do ups still work on saturday and sundays like not to come bring it to my house but like the progress of them bringin it over here because i know it will come on the weekday. They say it will take 5-7 days, but do they work weekends?
